What is LocalArena?
LocalArena is a free app for finding and joining local pickup sports and social sports groups near you. Browse what's on, grab a spot at a session, and just turn up — no account needed to look around.
What sports can I find?
We're launching with Ultimate Frisbee, with more sports to follow. LocalArena is built for pickup games, club nights, and alternative and social sports run by local groups.
Where is LocalArena available?
Everywhere — you can find and join groups wherever you are. The first communities and the paid organiser features are starting out in Manchester, but the app itself isn't limited to one city.
Is it free?
Browsing and joining are free. Some groups charge a fee for their own sessions, and a few premium and organiser tools are paid — but finding your game and turning up doesn't cost anything.
Do I need experience to join?
It depends on the group. Many sessions are beginner-friendly, but each group sets its own level and any requirements — so check the group's details before you join.
Can I run my own group?
Yes. Organisers can create a group, schedule sessions, see who's coming, manage rotas, and collect fees — all from the app.
When is the app launching?
